The nurse-led clinic is the fifth of its kind in the ACT providing free treatment for minor illness and injuries year-round.
The $10 million Dickson clinic, which is part of the Dickson Community Health Centre redevelopment, will employ 16 nurses and four administrative staff.
The Inner North Walk-in Centre at 111 Dickson Place will be open from 7.30am to 10pm every day and will also offer podiatry and maternal and child health services.
In a joint statement, Chief Minister Andrew Barr and Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said the new clinic would further ease the load on hospital emergency departments.
There are four similar centres across Canberra at Tuggeranong, Weston Creek, West Belconnen and Gungahlin.
The Weston Creek centre has been used as a dedicated COVID-19 testing clinic since April.
