The man won the $1 million prize in Wednesday's lotto draw, and told The Lott officials he looked forward to sharing the cash with his children and grandchildren, and to travel when it was once again allowed.
"Is this fair dinkum?" he asked The Lott officials who contacted him with the news.
"This is crazy. Wow!"
"I've got children and grandchildren, and they are the first people who came to mind, so I definitely want to be able to help them.
"This is just fantastic; it means I will be able to retire early.
"I'll have to do my sums and work out how I can really step back from work and take it easy.
"I know it's really hard to travel at the moment, but we'd love to go back to Europe one day."
The man said he didn't believe his luck at first.
"I've been looking at this on my app and thinking this was rubbish," he said.
He was the only division one winner in the Wednesday Lotto draw.
