Their trademark appeal is a cry of "howzat" at the top of their lungs but now the Sydney Thunder are launching a new plea to brighten up Christmas for those in need.

The club is asking fans to donate new and unwrapped toys or monetary gifts as part of the Canberra Hospital Foundation's GiveMas appeal.
Gifts can be left at either of Manuka Oval's two main gates ahead of the Thunder's BBL clash with the Perth Scorchers on Tuesday night.
Presents will be given to patients ranging from toddlers to teens who've either endured longs stints in hospital or will be separated from their families and loved ones because of COVID restrictions on the numbers of people allowed to visit hospitals.
"I think it would be a great surprise for a sick child stuck in hospital over Christmas to receive a gift," Thunder batsman Ollie Davies said.
"While I know 2020 has been a tough year for a lot of people, I'm sure even a small gift would mean a lot to a child."
Fans are being urged to secure their seat early for Tuesday night's match, with COVID-19 restrictions meaning ticket sales will close at 11.59pm on Monday.
