Travellers who visited Movenpick on Dominion Road, Bunnings in New Lynn and the food court in Westfield St Lukes shopping centre on the afternoon of April 17 are advised they could be at risk.
The warning has followed an alert from the New Zealand Ministry of Health as a result of the recent case of COVID-19 in an airport worker in Auckland.
The NZ Ministry has advised those who visited Movenpick between 5.15pm and 7.20pm, Bunnings between 2.30pm to 3.50pm and Lukes Foodcourt between 12.15pm to 2.30pm could have come into contact with the virus.
ACT Health said asked passengers who have arrived recently from NZ, have visited the locations of interests and have travelled on to the ACT to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and to get retested if they experience even mild symptoms at a later date, even after a negative test.
ACT Health issued a statement on Thursday morning advising it will send a text message to anyone who has on-travelled to the ACT from recent flights.
"The situation in New Zealand is a timely reminder that COVID-19 still exists," a spokesperson said.
"We continue to urge anyone experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, to get tested and stay at home until their test result is negative and their symptoms have resolved.
