The 136 apartment precinct in Taylor is on one of few blocks zoned for multi-storey residential construction in the fringe suburb, as most sites top out at three storeys.
The project led by developer Chase Group will sit opposite Margaret Hendry School, on Block 2 Section 80, at the corner of Sutherland Crescent and Horse Park Drive.
Construction on the development, dubbed SkyHaus, is due to begin in December and managing director Tom Simonds said it should be complete by May 2023.
"With a wide variety of plan types, we hope to create a mixed community," he said.
"Our buyer is attracted to a high quality lifestyle and values the amenity their home provides. There's an ease that comes with enjoying views of Canberra and having green outdoor space on your doorstep.
"With Casey Market Town close by and the upcoming Moncrieff shops accessible within minutes our buyers will enjoy a quiet suburban life whilst not having to compromise on the benefits of living in a metropolitan area."
The site is zoned CZ5 for mixed-use, and is one of few sites in the suburb with this zoning. The current plan only includes residential use.
