Rebeka Morgan from BuildHER Collective has partnered with Samsung Australia and has these tips to make sure your laundry scrubs up well.
What are your top tips to help level up a laundry?
- Think about how you will manage your laundry - do you need different hampers, where will you fold the clothes and how will you make it easy to get the washing from the machine to the line or dryer. We love and recommend:
- Built-in laundry hampers for sorting dirty laundry.
- An overhead hanging rail so you can put your delicates straight onto hangers.
- Cupboards to store all the unsightly items like detergents, pegs and shoe polish.

- Smart laundry appliances like Samsung's Smart AI range have also increased in popularity and are designed to simplify the user's laundry experience through artificial intelligence. Upgrading your laundry tech at home can work wonders.
What items can help elevate how Aussies do their laundry at home?
The laundry has come a long way, aside from the physical space we can now have AI (artificial intelligence) in our washers and dryers. My Samsung Smart AI washing machine and dryer can automatically sense the load, send me notifications when they are done and talk to each other.

Why should homeowners consider investing in smart appliances for their laundry?
We're often guilty of putting the washing on first thing, get home late and realise you have to wash it again because it's been left for too long. Gone are the days!
Smart laundry appliances let you manage your finish times remotely, so your clothes stay fresh. They can also sense the volume of laundry and adjust the cycle accordingly. It can include crease control and can set your appliances to run at a time when you have renewable energy sources, like solar panels operating.
The dryer also syncs the drying time based on the wash cycle - how cool is that? As a busy parent, I can guarantee this will save you loads of time.
Is there anything to consider before upgrading your laundry?
It's really important to think about how the space will be used. How do you want it to function? One of the main things people forget when updating their laundry is a space for items such as brooms and mops - it's always important to ensure you include a tall cupboard and space for hampers. It's also great to have a place to fold and sort, so if you have the space, a dedicated bench can work wonders.
How can modern appliances give your laundry an unexpected facelift?
Laundries aren't always tucked away at the back of the house - they may be off the kitchen or butlers pantry and with home appliances looking so sleek nowadays, white appliances are no longer your only option. We love some laundry eye candy, and advocate going bold and changing it up at times which can make a world of difference in your laundry space.
