The Bluebags will have a standalone team in the 2021-22 second grade competition along with other Cricket ACT clubs, while Queanbeyan will combine with Eastlake for a new-look first grade tournament.
They'll compete with other joint ventures Weston Creek/Tuggeranong, Ginninderra/North Canberra Gungahlin and Western District/ANU for first-grade honours.
The revival of women's cricket comes on the heels of the club receiving almost $1 million in funding from the NSW government to build a female change room at Freebody Oval.
Queanbeyan secretary Ron Bates says as female participation in junior cricket has risen the club finally has the foundations for a senior team.

"Two years ago the club made a commitment that we would do everything we could to field a [women's] team in this coming season," Bates said.
"At the end of last year, we started to put together a plan to get a team into one of ACT cricket's competitions.
"A lot of our grants and funding we've received from federal, state and local we've used to put that plan in place.
"The commitment was based around a number of our player's daughters getting ready to come into grade.
"We're very excited to have this women's team up and running and we are very thankful to people that got their hands dirty in training up players and laying the groundwork."
Stella Wilde will be the inaugural captain of Queanbeyan's second grade team, flanked in the leadership group by a pair of vice-captains in Alana Horsfall and Nat Miller.
Most Cricket ACT competitions are set to start next weekend, with the women's first grade beginning after WBBL|07 on November 28.
