Another 40 were loaded onto the Imperial Star at Geelong. The Imperial Star was to be loaded with another 42 at Port Adelaide in the next week.

The first shipment from Sydney was to be 20 Holdens by the Wanganella.

The Standard sedans sold for around £898. This equates to $51,804.09 NZD or nearly $50,000 Australian dollars in today's currency.

In Australia, the metropolitan price of Holden sedans was £870 plus a sales tax of £123.50. This equates to $35,481.95 Australian dollars today.

During the 1950s, Holdens were a common sight on Australian roads. The sedans exported to New Zealand were FJ models, and this export was the first international sales.
