Ashley hopes to raise $1000 for those in need from his The First Responders artwork, which can be purchased as a poster at mickashley.com.au.
Ashley has perfectly captured the efforts of first responders before, including two years ago with his The Road Ahead image showing a firefighter passing the baton to a nurse, following the bushfires and in the midst of the COVID pandemic.
Now, it is floods. And more heroes helping their fellow man.
"This time around, it was clear that the community spirit shone very brightly and it was clear that these people - the first responders - should be acknowledged front and centre," he said.
