Receivers McGrathNicol said trading would continue while it found a buyer for the store. No other DFO stores had been affected.
Partner at McGrathNicol, Shane O'Keeffe, said the Canberra business was a good asset.
''I would like to assure tenants, customers and centre management employees that our appointment allows the DFO Canberra and Homemaker Hub complex to continue to operate while a full and thorough assessment of DFO Canberra is completed and while we run an orderly sale campaign,'' Mr O'Keeffe said.
