An ACT Policing officer has been summonsed to appear in court after a fatal crash in Kaleen in May.
The officer was responding to a high priority call out in a marked police car when they collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Baldwin Drive and Maribyrnong Avenue.
A 54-year-old woman later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash, which happened around 8pm on Friday, May 4.
The officer was treated for minor injuries.
The officer was responding to a priority one call out, which involves a potentially life-threatening situation.
The officer, who has been suspended from duty, faces a charge of culpable driving of a motor vehicle causing death, and will soon appear before the ACT Magistrates Court.
Chief police officer Justine Saunders said the officer had been summonsed to appear in court after consultations with the ACT's director of public prosecutions.
"This is a tragic incident and I continue to offer my deepest condolences to all affected," she said.
