Police are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a house in Canberra's north.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on Byram Place, Florey, at 7.29pm on Friday night.
An Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said the occupants of the house were believed to have self-evacuated, and nobody was injured.
She said the house was "fully destroyed".
"It was a single-storey dwelling and we had three pumpers and a commander there," the spokeswoman said.
"They extinguished it and the scene was handed to police a couple of hours later."
An ACT Policing spokesman said on Saturday that the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
