A general pay rise of 2.5 will apply to ACT judiciary members with specific raises determined for the Director of Public Prosecution and ACT Civil and Administration Tribunal members.

ACT Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker has pocketed a 2.5 per cent raise bringing her pay up to $391,896 a year and the ACT Director of Public Prosecutions' base salary will be $412,394.

The salaries surpass the top pay for ACT bureaucrats, which is $348,500, while Chief Minister Andrew Barr's base rate of pay is just $299,000.

The Remuneration Tribunal also determined ACT Magistrates will receive the 2.5 per cent rise, taking their pay to $344,084 a year, and approved new salary positions for ACT Civil and Administration Tribunal members.

The ACAT General President will now receive $344,084 per year, full-time presidential members $258,063, part-time presidential members $172,042 and full-time senior members $161,528 per year.

The general increase will apply to the salaries of part-time office holders including: CIT Board members, non-judicial members of the Sentence Administration Board, assessors within the Racing Appeals Tribunal, Children and Youth Services Council members, Advisor to the Conservator, and members of the Public Transport Steering Committee and The Environment Protection and Technical Advisory Committee.

Within the Spring Review, the ACT Remuneration Tribunal postponed decisions relating to the allowances of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the base pay for the Associate Judge of the Supreme Court pending information from Australian Government Remunerations Tribunal's annual review.

Basic remuneration for ACT Supreme Court judges is $420,810 and Associates Judges of the Supreme Court are entitled to $378,729.

However, the tribunal determined Associate Judges would be entitled to a travelling allowance equal to that available to a Judge of the Federal Court Australia.
