A Canberra production company has won a silver "Dolphin" trophy at the annual Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards for a dreamy online film on the Canberra brand.

Screencraft worked with the ACT government and Brand CBR on the three-minute video, also recruiting local artist Magnifik for a cover of the Church's Under the Milky Way.
The company's managing director and cinematographer Michael Fardell said he hoped the award meant more exposure for the capital.
"It's a bit of vindication for Canberra, to be recognised among some of those big brands," he said. Among the 772 entries and 152 awards were the international brands Red Bull and Volkswagen.
The film was built on symbolic and literal symbols about what it means to live and work in the city.
Over two "gruelling" weeks, a team of 15 staff and dozens of volunteers filmed Canberra's bars and restaurants, Parliament House, Lake Burley Griffin, food and wine and a Brumbies training session – including a memorable moment of a rearing horse at Canberra Stadium.
Mr Fardell, a third generation Canberran who started his production company here in 2007, wants the film to put Canberra "on the map a bit more".
"There's always this thing, we're telling people outside of Canberra, it's a good city, OK it doesn't have a Sydney Harbour, but it does have everything else that one needs to have a good life, and a good business.
"It's not every day you get asked to do a film about the city you love, we're all very proud of it, extremely proud of it, we hope it can continue to be used."
In 2010 Mr Fardell and Screencraft won a silver Dolphin at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards, for a missing persons week television commercial for the Australian Federal Police.
