A property in the Greater Hume Shire is the latest in a string of NSW houses found to be riddled with Mr Fluffy asbestos insulation.

The property was confirmed to contain loose-fill asbestos by the taskforce set up to investigate potential contaminations, after examining historical records of where the construction company may have operated prior to 1980.
The property is the second in the shire to be identified as containing loose-fill asbestos in recent weeks.
Greater Hume Shire Council director of environment and planning Colin Kane said while they haven't been approached by the affected owners yet, they may consider implementing a scheme to assist.
In July, Queanbeyan City Council, where 56 properties were found to contain loose-fill asbestos, decided to defer rates and some essential services payments for homes affected by Mr Fluffy.
Right now, Mr Kane is hoping no more affected properties will pop up – although if they do, he said it wouldn't surprise him.
"We hope there are no more [properties with asbestos] found, it must be for horrific for the owners in terms of stress and anxiety," he said.
The property is the 58th to be identified through historical records and brings the number of NSW properties confirmed to contain loose-fill asbestos insulation to 73.
Almost 2500 properties have been tested across 26 local government areas in NSW.
Homeowners outside the current testing areas who fear their home may contain loose-fill asbestos are also being encouraged to test their homes
The NSW Government has offered Mr Fluffy owners two options – to purchase their house and land at market value, or to purchase the house only and demolish it.
Owners outside the testing areas who've conducted their own investigations with positive results are eligible for the scheme as well.
Residents of Mr Fluffy homes have an additional 16-in-100,000 lifetime risk of developing lung cancer or mesothelioma as a result of living in an asbestos-contaminated house.
Health authorities confirmed two diagnoses of mesothelioma among Mr Fluffy residents in the first half of last year.
