On the latest episode of his Running Wild program, Fast and the Furious star Michelle Rodriguez joined the British adventurer for a hike in the desert when the pair decided to share a meal.

"For dinner we've got the mouse. The thing is there's not very much of it so I want to stew it, problem is, we're out of water," he said.

While Grylls prepared the main course, sous chef Rodriguez was sent to fetch the base of the stew – her own urine.

"I can smell that from here," a squeamish Grylls said.

"Sorry dude, I'm dehydrated," Rodriguez replied.

"I don't mind trekking for hours in the hot sun, but the mouse, the urine in the mouse, that's real special Bear."

The pair then plated up and tasted the dish using their bare hands.

"It's like chicken," were Rodriguez's thoughts.

"Yeah, sautéed in piss," Grylls said with as much vitriol as Pete Evans would employ when describing a dish containing sugar.

They also drank "the broth", which caused more gag reflexes than a loved up couple kissing at an Alice Cooper concert.

"Urine has kind of an ammonia thing going on and when you boil it, it doesn't go away," Rodriguez said.

Grylls has drunk urine on a number of occasions – including once out of a snake and before then in the Kimberley in far north Western Australia – but his latest sip has been the hardest one to swallow.

"There's just something about drinking somebody else's, I've finally found the thing that has broken me. Mouse in somebody else's urine, stewed. Bad."
