Tara Costigan's family have urged Canberrans to keep their "voices loud" against domestic violence so others would not have to suffer as they have.
The call came as thousands of Canberrans rallied to show their abhorrence of domestic violence at the inaugural Walk For Tara on Sunday morning.
An estimated 5000 of supporters flocked to Lake Burley Griffin to march from Regatta Point to remember Ms Costigan, who was allegedly murdered by her ex-partner last month.
The 28-year-old mother-of-three was one of three lives tragically cut short, allegedly due to domestic violence, in the ACT in the past month.
- Women who have fled to the ACT to escape abusive relationships are increasingly being stalked and harassed by violent ex-partners who use online tracking devices and social media to hunt them down. Also - a Wollongong father-of-two hired a hitman to bash his ex-partner after she told police he may have sexually assaulted their three-year-old daughter, a court has heard.
- The ACT government ignored key planks of its own tax review in its decision not to boost poker machine taxes.

Former Wallabies captain David Pocock has slammed the use of homophobic slurs in the ACT Brumbies' blockbuster derby against the NSW Waratahs, saying: "You can be the toughest man in the world, but it's got nothing to do with that sort of language."
An agitated Pocock made referee Craig Joubert address alleged homophobic slurs from a Waratahs forward as NSW clinched a 28-13 win at Allianz Stadium.
The Brumbies have reported two incidents to SANZAR and will allege the word f----- was used to sledge two different ACT players in the second half of the match.

One southbound lane will be closed between Belconnen Way and Sulwood Drive from 8pm tonight until 5am Tuesday morning.
It will mean the speed limit will be reduced to 80 km/hr.

To list the clients of Australian-born, internationally-renowned artist Kerrie Hess is like rattling off a fashionista's favourite words.
She has created her predominantly black and white illustrations for Kate Spade New York, Louis Vuitton, Collette Dinnigan, CHANEL, Printemps Paris, Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus Department Store, Topshop, Christian Louboutin and Harvey Nichols to name but a few.
Most of Hess' work features backdrops of New York City or her former hometown Paris, but her latest collaboration features a very different capital city: that of her home country – Canberra.
