Lifeline Canberra chief executive Carrie-Ann Leeson said the book fair, which opened at Calwell shops on Friday, was a good opportunity to connect the southern Canberra region.
The book fair features a variety of books, including children's books, all proceed from the two-day sale will be donated to Lifeline Canberra's suicide prevention program.
Senator Zed Seselja encouraged Canberrans to visit the fair and buy book for a worthy cause.
The book fair will be open from 9am until 4pm.
