Profile: Glass artist Kirstie Rea plumbs childhood memories of Canberra landscape

Amid the usual eclectic array of works in glass in this year's Ranamok Glass Prize, one work, a gossamer-fine swath of glass cloth, dip-dyed at either end and draped, exquisitely, over a shelf, stood out. It looked ready to ruffle and drift with the slightest breeze – a thing of beauty and technical brilliance. It's not surprising it was the People's Choice in both Canberra and Brisbane – a piece that invites more than a passing glance.
