The teenager was taken to hospital in a serious condition after an accident near the Australian National University on Tuesday.
An ACT Health spokesman said on Wednesday afternoon that the man was now in a critical but stable condition, but the spokesman did not know whether his condition had changed.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Barry Drive near Clunies Ross Street in Acton just before 8.30am, after a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
