He demanded cash, which staff handed over, before fleeing in a silver Hyundai Excel with a miniature rear spoiler.
No one was hurt during the incident.
The man is described as between 180-186cm (6’0”-6’2”) in height, with a solid build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white hooded jumper, long brown pants, sunglasses and black gloves. He had an Australian accent.

Later on Sunday, police made an arrest within 90 minutes of an alleged petrol station robbery in Canberra's north.
About 9.45pm on Sunday, a man allegedly went to the counter of the Coles Express service station in Dickson, and asked staff for cash.
According to staff, the man then became aggressive, prompting the attendant to call police, before he allegedly took an item and left.
But by 11pm, police had already been to a house in Lyneham and arrested a 22-year-old man over the incident. He was charged with theft and attempted robbery, and is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
