White is looking to fill the 30th and final spot on his Super Rugby roster with an emerging player to add depth to his ranks.

The Brumbies don't have the salary cap space to chase an established star and have ruled out making a play for a current international, scotching speculation they could be bringing Springboks giant Danie Rossouw to Canberra.

Scott Fardy and Sam Carter both produced outstanding seasons to fill the two starting lock positions in the Brumbies' side, while Leon Power was a more than capable back-up off the bench.

The Brumbies also have the five spots available in their extended player squad.

The club farewelled its seven departing players at its end-of-season presentation function at Rydges Lakeside on Saturday night.

Flanker Michael Hooper and outside back Cam Crawford are off to the NSW Waratahs, while winger Kimami Sitauti will hope to get more opportunities for game time at the Melbourne Rebels.

Leading the overseas contingent is popular Fijian prop Jerry Yanuyanutawa, who has inked a deal with London Irish, while veteran lock Ben Hand and hooker Anthony Hegarty are both off to French club Grenoble.

Flanker Dylan Sigg has been released.

The Brumbies narrowly missed this year's finals and newly-crowned Brett Robinson medallist Stephen Moore is confident a third piece of silverware isn't far away, adding to the titles won in 2001 and 2004.

"The end point for us is to win a Super Rugby championship, and I think that's achievable in the short to medium term," he said.

"No one thought we'd do anything this year and we almost made the finals.

"If we can keep improving the way we did this year, anything's possible."

Moore claimed the club's players' player award after a stellar season, narrowly edging out Hooper and flyhalf Christian Lealiifano.

The experienced hooker had little time to celebrate his victory, boarding a flight to Sydney yesterday morning to rejoin the Wallabies ahead of Saturday's Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship opener against the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium.

"Any award voted by your peers means the most," Moore said.

"For those guys you play with to feel you're offering some value means the world to me.

"It's very humbling, but there's any number of guys that could have taken it out."
