BOOROWA and Young, north-west of Canberra, were shaken by a 3.8 magnitude earthquake at 7.16pm last night.
The epicentre was about 40 kilometres east of Young, according to a map published by Geoscience Australia, and approximately the same distance north of Boorowa.
According to reports, people as far away as Parkes felt the earthquake.
The town of Boorowa and Young are located between 110 and 160 kilometres from Canberra respectively.
