Nisbet has seven rides at the final meeting of the racing season at Thoroughbred Park and will be out to overtake Billy Owen for the honours.
Owen is just two wins ahead of the 25-year-old contender and is set to secure the apprentice jockey Premiership, despite not riding on Friday.
He could become the first apprentice to win both titles in the same season since Peter Wiggins in 1980.
Meanwhile leading ACT trainer Nick Olive will claim his eighth trainers premiership title, the second-most wins in Canberra racing history.
Olive will enter the final meeting five wins clear of his nearest rival Matthew Dale, who has one horse nominated.

"It's special to win your home-town premiership and it's great for our whole team," Olive said.
"They've really worked for it and it just confirms we've had a great season."
The premiership leader has nominated four horses at the meet, including Rhomlo and Luga Lad in the Federal benchmark 70 (1280 metres).
Luga Lad is one of four horses in the running to be crowned Canberra horse of the year but Keith Dryden's Prince Jacko will be tough to beat in the seventh race.
The six-year-old gelding has two wins and a second from his last three runs all in Federal races on the Acton Track.
Olive admits it'll be difficult to beat Prince Jacko and Joe Ible's Ons Vier but believes it'll be a tight battle for the title.
"Luga Lad is going well but there's some nice horses in the race that'll be hard to beat for sure," Olive said.
"He came to us and had ten starts without winning a race so to have [Luga Lad] in contention for Horse of the Year is a pretty good achievement for the whole team."
Should Trevor Mcllrick's Farthing Wood win the benchmark 65 (1080 metres), then the three-year-old filly will lead the title charge. Prince Jacko would have to win the Federal to take out the premiership.
