Mystery surrounds a violent incident in Page on Saturday, where one man was found dead and three others badly injured.
Investigations continue into the cause of the violence, which left an expansive, blood-soaked crime scene on Braine Street in Page.
ACT Policing did not provide comment on the investigation on Sunday when contacted by The Canberra Times.
Police were called to the quiet suburban street on Saturday morning, after reports of a disturbance.
Officers arrived on the scene about 9am, where they found a seriously injured man and provided first aid.
While they provided treatment, another man ran at them. Officers tasered the man and he was taken into custody.
A deceased man was found inside a house, along with a woman who had "significant injuries".
Detective Superintendent Scott Moller told reporters on Saturday the task of processing the crime scenes was likely to take some time.
"This incident stretched over a number of properties," he said.
Asked about the pair in surgery, he said: "They are in a very serious condition."
Superintendent Moller said on Saturday there was "no ongoing risk to the public" and it was not yet clear exactly what happened.
"We're still working through all the issues in relation to the incident. We're still piecing together the circumstances," he said.
