Queanbeyan, which has already hosted several transferred Canberra meetings, was unavailable to accommodate the October 8 event due to an already scheduled country meeting on October 12.
But the country NSW track may yet be able to step up one last time and host Canberra's October 22 meeting, with travel cross-border travel restrictions still likely to prevent racing in the capital until at least Melbourne Cup day on November 2.
Canberra Racing Club chief Andrew Clark has circled the annual Cup day meeting as a possible return date for racing in the capital, but it would likely be without crowds.

"Under the ACT's Pathway Forward, it is suggested that travel restrictions may ease in time for a race meeting to be held with essential personnel only on Melbourne Cup Day at Thoroughbred Park," Clark said.
"The return of patrons to Thoroughbred Park will be guided by the ACT Government.
"Under the Pathway Forward, this is currently suggested to be able to occur in late November or early December."
