Thirteen crew members from the ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire and Rescue and SouthCare were called to a remote area of the mountain about 12.15pm.
They worked to stabilise the male rider before he was carried down on a stretcher as windy conditions prevented him from being airlifted.
He was taken to Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
