1. Celebrate with a bang
The fireworks are back with a bang. Set up at your favourite spot down near Lake Burley Griffin and enjoy local artists providing roving entertainment from 6-8.45pm on December 31, before the sky lights up with spectacular fireworks displays at 9pm and midnight. The fireworks will launch from central, west and east basins so there will be plenty of room to spread out on the lake foreshore, and remember to stay COVID-safe. Or, to get a panoramic view, you could always take advantage of the great views from Black Mountain Nature Reserve, Mount Ainslie Nature Reserve and Red Hill Nature Reserve.
