An alleged shoplifter is set to face court after a search warrant uncovered a homemade firearm and ammo.

Police arrested the 33-year-old Weston woman on Wednesday after an investigation into several shoplifting incidents at a Mawson supermarket.
Police allege on five occasions, between October 26 and November 11 last year, the woman left the supermarket with fully-loaded trolleys without paying for all the goods in them.
After an investigation into the thefts, police executed a search warrant on the woman's residence in Weston.
During the search, police allegedly located evidence and property suspected of being stolen, including a homemade firearm, ammunition and what is believed to be methylamphetamine.
Police will allege the woman committed these thefts with co-offenders.

The woman has been charged with five counts of theft, unlawful possession of stolen property, possession of ammunition, unauthorised possession of a firearm and possessing a drug of dependence.
She is due to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday.
