A man has been committed for trial in the ACT Supreme Court charged with attempted murder after he allegedly fired a gun several times in a Canberra suburb.

Connor John Manns, 23, also faces charges of attempting to intentionally inflict grievous bodily harm and firing a gun.
He also faces two counts relating to using a carriage service to offend and two driving offences.
He appeared via phone in the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday when he pleaded guilty to the latter two charges - driving a Volkswagen Golf without consent and possessing a thing that resembled a number plate calculated to deceive.
He pleaded not guilty to the rest of the charges.
In a December statement, ACT Policing accuses Manns of driving the stolen car on November 21 in Casey where he fired a gun "several times" at the alleged victim, who was on foot, at the intersection of Whitrod Avenue and Plimsoll Drive.

"A crime scene was established and during a search of the area, police located evidence of a shooting," police alleged.
About 5.30pm the same day, police executed a search warrant on a residence in O'Connor where they arrested Manns.
In court on Tuesday, defence lawyer Tom Taylor applied for all of the charges to which not guilty pleas were entered to be committed for trial.
Prosecutor Angus Brown consented to the application, meaning committal proceedings were waived.
The driving offences were also committed to the higher court for sentencing.
Manns did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.
He is set to face the Supreme Court on May 15.
