A 25-year-old man has died in the Canberra Hospital after a car crash on the Monaro Highway near Royalla on Sunday afternoon.

The crash occurred at 4.40pm at the intersection of Old Cooma Road in Royalla and involved a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Hilux.
The deceased man was a passenger in the Corolla which police say sustained significant damage.
The driver of the Corolla and an infant passenger in the Hilux were also transported to the Canberra Hospital after the accident.
The 25-year-old man is the seventh person to die on an ACT road this year.

Police said traffic on the Monaro Highway was restricted for about three hours while the collision scene was cleared by authorities.
The accident is currently being investigated by police. Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
It is the second fatal accident in the region in recent days.
