Strong enough for the Papua New Guinean import to hit 149 from 109 balls to lift North Canberra-Gungahlin to their first Cricket ACT Douglas Cup win of the summer? Apparently so.
Vala lit up the Eastlake attack to score an unbeaten 149 from just 109 balls to secure a three-wicket win and lift his side off the bottom of the table at Keith Tournier Memorial Oval on Saturday.
He smashed 11 sixes and 11 fours as Norths claimed their second win of the season across all formats in the top grade - and of course, he cleared the fence to hit the winning runs.
What makes it even more impressive is the fact the next best score from a Norths batsman was opener Brock Winkler's 15.
Vala has joined Norths to get more game time under his belt alongside Papua New Guinean teammate Kiplin Doriga ahead of their Twenty20 World Cup tilt later this year.
Knocks like this are exactly why Norths wanted to get their hands on the ultra-talented pair.

"I got into my innings and when the loose balls came, I just tried to put them away. Luckily enough, I was able to be there at the end to steer the team home and get a win," Vala said.
"It was a strong breeze. Their spinners bowled a bit too short and I kept capitalising.
"Chasing a score like that on a slow wicket, I thought their spinners bowled too short and I managed to hit some boundaries.
"I was happy to get those boundaries away to help the team and contribute towards the win.
"We've been so close, we've been playing some good cricket lately but we haven't got the results so that has been disappointing.
"This was a really good effort from the boys. It was on and off with the weather, but we stuck to our guns and bowled really well.
"We pinned them back and managed to restrict them to a score we could chase down.
"I'm really enjoying the summer, I've been scoring a few runs lately so I'm happy. It's good to get a century, I've really been working hard on my game."
Meanwhile, Weston Creek Molonglo will ride a wave of momentum into the Twenty20 finals after holding off Queanbeyan at Freebody Oval.
Harry Medhurst (96 from 95 balls) played a starring role with the bat to lead the visitors to 7-254, with matches shortened to 50-overs apiece after day one was cancelled last week due to the ACT's state of emergency.
He backed it up with a pair of wickets, claiming 2-42 (10) to help roll Queanbeyan to 189 in 45.5 overs and secure a 65-run win for the competition front-runners.
Now Creek have a chance to edge one step closer to the treble when they back up in the Twenty20 Cup semi-final against Tuggeranong Valley at Phillip Oval on Sunday afternoon.
Queanbeyan meet Western District in the morning, with the winners to meet under lights in the final, but the chance of heavy rain across Canberra looms large.
